This Privacy Policy describes how Gafarova Tanzilia (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a Hungarian sole proprietor (egyéni vállalkozó) trading as The Art of Practice, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use theartofpractice.com (the “Site”): the waiting list, the free Part One download, the book checkout, and the sign-in to your reader library.
Your reader library, the community, and the app live at theartofpractice.app, which has its own Privacy Policy. This one covers what happens on this Site and what we do with your order.
The Site is operated by Gafarova Tanzilia, a Hungarian sole proprietor. Registered seat: Szondi utca 2/A, 1201 Budapest, Hungary. Tax number (adószám): 92105753-1-43. EU VAT number: HU92105753. Registry number: 62389640. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this Policy. Contact: support@theartofpractice.com. We have not appointed a data protection officer; the same address reaches the person responsible.
Your first name, what you practice, and your email address. We use them to send you one email when the book goes on sale, addressed to you and your discipline. Legal basis: your consent, which you give by joining the list and can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email. We also receive an internal notification of your signup.
The same three details. We use them to email you the link to Part One, to send you a short series of emails from Laido about the book and the Naturals Method Workshop, and to email you when the book goes on sale. Legal basis: your consent, given when you request Part One; withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in any of those emails.
The copy you receive carries your name and email address in small print at the foot of every page, exactly as the ebook does, so that a copy passed on shows who it was for. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the book from unauthorized copying.
Your name, email address, and billing name and address (for your invoice); for a paperback, the delivery name, address, and phone number our print partner needs for the courier; the edition and add-ons you chose; and, for a paperback, the shipping quote we obtain for your address. Your card details go directly to our payment processor, Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you, and our legal duty to keep invoicing and tax records.
After payment we pass the details needed to deliver your order to the services that deliver it (section 4): our membership app opens your library; our delivery service prepares your ebook with your name in it and sends your welcome email; Lulu prints and posts your paperback; our invoicing service issues your invoice.
As a customer, you may also receive emails from Laido about the book and closely related products. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping in touch with our readers, balanced by an unsubscribe link in every such email, and your right to object at any time.
If you start a purchase, enter your email address, and do not finish, we may send you a reminder about your order. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in completing a purchase you began, balanced by an unsubscribe link in the email. We do not do this for visitors in Europe, where such a reminder would need your prior consent.
Your email address, and the 4-digit code from your sign-in email. Our membership app checks them and sets a session cookie so you stay signed in. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
Whatever you send us at support@theartofpractice.com, so that we can answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your request, or the contract between us where it concerns your order.

If you pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay, Apple or Google process your payment details under their own terms.
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (for example, to a provider in the United States), the transfer is protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, and otherwise by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and other appropriate safeguards.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Hungary, this is the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, naih.hu). You may also complain to the authority in the EU country where you live.
Your data is stored on secure servers and sent over encrypted connections. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Site is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie and every piece of browser storage the Site uses, what it is for, and how to change your choice.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Site at least 30 days before they take effect.
